GAIA- is both earth and cosmos, the mother and the infinite. Formed from raw clay, she is shaped by hand and transformed in fire, where crystalline glazes bloom like ice on stone, moss on ancient bark, or galaxies unraveling in the void.
The crystals grow unpredictably, mirroring the shifting landscapes of Earth and the celestial patterns of the cosmos.
In mythology, Gaia birthed the sky, the seas, and all creation—here, she holds that same force, a universe within herself. Every atom, every element, moves through her, seeking to connect, to shape, to become.
Ceramic sculpture, crystalline glaze, 50cm without plinth and 2nd half of the sculpture, the hair piece is still in the making and when finished the sculpture will be 80-100 cm tall with plinth.
